December 17 Quote of the day IV"If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough."
-- Mario Andretti August 23 Quote of the day IIIt's been long since the last update. It seems to me that the more happening my life is the less desire I have to update this space. Maybe it's just that when everything is so exciting, nothing seems to be significant enough to stand out and inspire me to pen them down. Maybe I am a better writer when I am feeling lonely, haha.
So this is the latest update, obviously... Found this quote on someone's personal msg:
To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world
Feeling kinda sweet reading this, and still in search of that one person.
LOL this is so random... July 24 Memories from childhoodI used to be a little boy just like every man used to be. I used to like cars as much as i love them now, but in a children's way---- toys. Pictures speak more than a thousand million trillion words, so here they are and i still wanna add some words to them...
First of all, I have these little sports cars to play around with. Sadly one of them suffered from a terrible accident which killed it...
Then I got bored and looked for varieties. That's when my construction trucks came in. The little parts on the trucks can actually do more than just display.
Then there was the military troop. From tank to soldier carrier.
Later my aunt gave me this truck with trailer as a present. It was my favourite. It even comes with two small cars that loaded at the back. Like in the "knight rider" series. And it's the only car in my collection that has a pair of front wheels which can actually turn, controlled by the yellow overhead lamps. So cool i thought.
Then I have this little transfomer car here which i only figured that years after i bought/received it. the poor car barely survived. look at the windscreen!
After so many toy cars, i moved on to trains... I dunno if many ppl have seen that japanese animation before, but toys were really cute, especially the eyes, so innocent!
Toy soldiers! 50 cents a piece. Used to save a little bit on my snacks and buy one of those after school. So later I have an army! well, not so, maybe a platoon -__-ll
As i grew a little older. I started to play with things that are a bit more complicated than those simple toy cars -- AcToys. It would be lucky for any child to have one of those during my time, but I had so many, I was so lucky!~ That red car from the third row, I won it in a RC aeroplane skill challenge competition! The black in the third row, that was my very first AcCar. The yellow one at the back, it's actually just a model that has a lamp in the middle. and the one with the very big wheels, it's amphibious.
This is the star car in my team, of course it should be if you have seen the Japanese animation. I even tried to put a headlight on it like in the shows if you look closely, but well well, i tried, it almost worked.
The overview of the all my toys that i have left. Plus a bonus gun. Cars and Guns, theme of almost every boys' childhood, and maybe that's the reason why men are so dangerous on the road or on the battle field... -__-ll
So this is all the memory of toys from my childhood that has left. I hope all of you had a happy childhood as i did, of course, not only toy cars, but memories. July 19 Shut up and driveFinally I finished my driving test~
Another milestone in my life~
From today onwards, I am officially a driver~
Hell yeah~
so i shld just SHUT UP AND DRIVE!!! ;p June 23 What's so goood about a bad bicycle...Mid-engined position, rear wheel driven - a combination that can be seen in most of the successful sports cars on Earth: Ferrari Enzo, Maserati MC12, Lamborghini Diablo, Acura NSX etc. again, has proven itself useful on my invincible bicycle.
The reason why I call it invincible has nothing to do with its perfomance. It is in fact a very bad bicycle, the reason why it is so bad is becoz it is very cheap. So this teaches you one Lesson: no good can come out from cheapness. This is one good thing about having a bad bicycle: it teaches you.
This thing is heavy. Maybe the maker thought super-light carbon-fibre material is not really the best choice eventhough all the supercar makers on earth know that weight is the key. That is fine with me anyway, becoz the bike thieves are so skillful and efficient nowadays, that I have to carry my bike 5 stories down everytime i want to use it, and carry it up when im done with it. That saves my weight, so that's good.
It amazed me when i realize that this bike has gear shifters, despite its unbeatable price. Though they dont work properly. For example, the one attached to the pedals cant shift to the lowest gear no matter what, the repairman refused to repair it coz he couldnt and he tried to talk himeslf out of it by claiming that the lowest gear is "never useful". Anyway, that is fine with me. That only means the pedals are gonna be extra heavy when it gets to an upslope, and that's good, coz the sheer purpose of this bike is for exercise.
The last thing i like about this bicycle is that it breaks down all the time (not literally, obviously...). that means I will have plenty of chances to carefully study its mechanical structure, understand how everything works and try to solve every problem arises. That is fine with me too, considering that Im going to the faculty of engineering.
Im pretty impressed by myself that i can come up with so much not-so-nonsense from something that is so nonsense...(or is it the other way around?)

this is an entry responding to DYD's popular demand
To DYD:
happy now? ;D
ps: sofa is specially dedicated to DYD June 04 Beautiful sunshineGotta say, i love this pic. And it has nothing to do with the fact that it was taken by me ^__^ll
Life should be like waiting for a train in one of those mornings, when the sun just came up.
Looking in the direction of which the train is gonna come, you can't see anything because it's full of sunshine.
You won't blame the sun for being so shiny because it's so harmless and pleasant,
and you know that it's only a matter of time for the train to reveal itself in this heavenly sunshine,
so you just wait, and enjoy the very moment of this beautiful morning.
Isn't that wonderful?
You can't see your future,
but you know it's gonna be bright,
and you know when the time is right,
everything is gonna work out just fine.
So at this very moment,
just enjoy your sunshine... June 01 Cya later Singapore~Next time when i sleep, it will be on my very own bed at home, not that im not looking forward to it, but im gonna miss my life during this period in Singapore. It's been really exciting working for the first time in my life, receiving my first salary, making hell lotz of new friends, and of course, saying good bye to all those who are going overseas.
Life will never gonna be the way it was in the past two months. Working without pressure, hanging out without any stupid hostel rules, pure freedom.
I'm gonna be back in two months, inevitably of course, but things gonna be different.
Expecting the unexpected is an interesting aspect of life.
Anyway, I'm gonna miss the way life used to be, I'm gonna miss my friend who may be going separate ways, I'm gonna miss hell lots of stuff that will no longer be in my life... but it's time to say good bye...
Cya later singapore. Cya later guys. May 26 You are b-e-a-utifulHaving looked at the ugliest thing on earth, you probably couldnt sleep by now becoz you are afraid that that hideous looking thing is going to be your worst nightmare... Dont worry, now i give you something much better to dream about, and i mean literally.
This spectecular good-looking piece of engineering from lamborghini (once again) is the new lamborghini Gallardo LP 560. (be careful here, its name is pronounced as "gay-ardo", so dont be a fool out there shouting to your friend "ga-llar-dor!" -_-ll)
Eventhough it still doesnt have a pair of scissor doors like all lamborghinis should have, it still stuns people in the middle of the road and tells the critics that lamborghini can still be so fabulous even without scissor doors.
Here's the car's commercial on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbdZSLmfsXg
I gotta say: B-E-A-utiful...
And i shall not bore you out with its performance figures of 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds, top speed of 202mph (325km/h) from its 5.2 litre V10 engine that generates 560 bhp at 8000 rpm and 540 Nm at 6500 rpm. Well, at least its price tag of around 145k euros is interesting enough to keep you dreaming on.
Now go to sleep! [TG]Recipe for disaster?
The ugliest super sports car iv ever seen! even more horrible than the Richard Hammond face-ed morgan...
Here's Top Gear's comment: May 21, 2008
This car is so ugly that you have to tie a steak around it to get the dog to play with it... and so on, and on. Yes, despite its warthog looks, the Weber 'super sports car' looks set to make its production debut later this year. The car, first seen at the Top Marques show in Monaco last year, has completed its early testing and from the looks of the spec, genuinely could be a contender for the 'fastest car in the world' crown. The two-seater weighs just 1,100kg, has an intelligent four-wheel-drive system, and a twin-supercharged LS7 Corvette engine with 900bhp. Weber says the car will sprint from 0-188mph in 16 seconds and top 250mph. There's also an electronically controlled deployable rear wing that acts as an air brake. The wing can deploy into a fully vertical position in 50 milliseconds and creates up to 4,000 newtons of additional braking power. We look forward to driving it, wearing dark glasses and a cap, later this year. The Swiss do many things well. Harbouring ill-gotten gold, for example. And triangular chocolate. But, judging by this effort from Swiss manufacturer Weber, not supercars. It's simply hideous. The front looks like the kidney grill off a 5-Series. But melted. And repeatedly kicked. The rest of it we're not even going to dignify with any attempt at objective analysis. All those mangled panels are apparently essential in gaining greater aerodynamic efficiency, presumably because the Weber's appearance physically scares the air out of its path. That warped, pained exterior is made from carbon fibre - as is the chassis, which gets some aluminium mixed in for good measure. It's all powered by a 7.0-litre V8. Developing 900bhp with the help of a supercharger, it also generates 775lb ft of torque. That's enough, says Weber, to get its superuglycar from 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 249mph. Quick, yes, but not quick enough for Weber's monster to evade the uncoveted title of Top Gear's Ugliest Car of 2007 Thus Far. Any challengers? May 14 [TG]kobe jumps a car?!Topgear's response to the recent video of Kobe jumping over an Aston Martin...

Viral clip: Kobe jumps a carKobe Bryant plays a sport that is known as basketball. Basketball is apparently a hugely popular game in the United States of Americano. He plays for the LA Lakers contingent, a local group from Californ, IA. He recently decided to jump over an Aston Martin for a tinternet virus. Yet if he thinks we'll believe that's for real, then he knows about as much as we do about basketball. Still, it's pretty impressive.

Viral clip: Kobe jump spoofDo you remember the story we ran a few days back about American basketball star Kobe Bryant jumping 'over' an Aston Martin DB9 Volante? Well, he's inspired some rather amusing viral spoofs - which we imagine was Nike's reason for doing it in the first place - and they're pretty good, too. And if after that you still need a reminder of why you shouldn't try to jump over a car yourself, then this is it. April 21 Work work work...when the day is about to go into dusk, i leave home for work...
when people are hurrying home for dinner, i am still waiting for 33 in some random bus stop... Alex told me once that now is the best time to take on the weirdest job on earth be4 we ever have to take too many things into consideration. that is part of the reason why i chose this job in a tiny cybercafe that also has comics and videos for home rental and on-site reading and work from 8pm to 6am. this tiny little place is where i dedicate most of my working hours to i started working part time in the flagship store above, it was a simple job with a full timer by my side all the time. but life is not without challenges. not more than 2 weeks after i started working, the company now wants me to run this smaller branch all by myself for the whole saturday night... so now i am in command of all these people('s computers) with great power, comes great responsibility, and a much bigger counter too. trying very hard to stay awake throughout the night, i still manage to account for everything, except that i often confuse the cordless phone with the air-con controller. i cant remember how many times i picked up the controller and tried to dial a number... despite the colour, they do look a little bit alike if u half close your eyes in a dark room, right? finally the night is almost over, look how tidy i made this place to be and we are closed... it is still dark outside when i look out from the bus window and i witness the dawn of the day what a beautiful start of the day for the rest of people, except me... coz mine juz ended ;p April 08 My list of 10 perfect cars in my garageEvery man should love cars, and for every man who loves cars, he should definitely have made a list of 10 perfect cars he would like to have in his garage. so here comes the list iv made.
no.1 Lamborghini reventon
It's a million-euro worth super car, lambo's only gonna make 20 of them. It's italian, it's exclusive, it looks absolutely stunning, it's a jet that doesnt take off, it is a lamborghini, so it definitely goes on top of my list.
no.2 Aston martin DB9
If u let me choose another car to be my favourite rather than a lamborghini, it has to be one of this. It looks fabulous, in fact, many agreed that it's the most beautiful car men hav ever made. juz for the looks of it, it worths its price tag of over 150 thousands pounds. unfortunately, its performance made it even closer towards perfection (it even has a flappy pedal gear box that's actually working).
no.3 McLaren F1 LM
They made only five of them in the world. It can be driven in any country no matter it has to be on the left side or the right side of the road becoz its driver seat is in the middle. Ron dennis said if hamilton win the F1 championship for the next two seasons he's gonna give him one. It holds the record of the world's fastest street legal production car for almost 10 years. It is a legend. no.4 Saleen S7
Hand-built in a small factory located at US California, most people may hav never heard of it. its designer claim it to be able to take on any rival on the track, i dun doubt that coz it's truly a masterpiece of engineering.
no.5 Lamborghini Diablo
scissor doors and pop-up headlights, the ultimate combination in a hypercar - which is a very different concept from supercars. with hyper-cars,people simply dun care how fast it goes, people juz stare at it for days.
no.6 Kitt
it has always been a dream of mine to own this car since i was six(if they are ever gonna make a real one -__-ll), a car with a cool red laser scanner on the bonnet, a car that talks, drives itself and does almost everything u can imagine. it's the knight industry two thousand from "knight rider"(based on pontiac firebird)
no.7 Lamborghini Gallardo
again, it's another lamborghini! in my opinion, it's the best looking car lamborghini has ever made, except the fact that it's "less lamborghini" in every way. It has a V10 engine which is smaller than the V12 its bigger brother murcielago has, so it is slower, smaller and less expensive, and its doors dont even open upwards. Still, juz for the looks of it and the badge of an angry bull, i would put it on my shopping list.
no.9 Hummer H1
It's a man's vehicle. It's desinged to be driven under any condition so it keeps running no matter what. and if u meet another car in a narrow road, u will never be the one who backs off.
no. 10 Rolls Royce Phantom
I get tired sometime and may want to get in the back seat. This is definitely a passenger's car.
Yup finished. certainly i do dream alot, but why not? it's free, and it gives u the motivation for everything. April 06 Let's talk about basketball (part 2)Let's talk about basketball (part 1) yup, finally start to update my autobiography becoz i cant afford to let myself bore to death. so here's what happened after i graduated from primary. i went into Wuhan Foreign Language School with excellent result, no bluffing (that was probably the only time that i dare to use the word "excellent" to describe myself). Nonsense aside, i went on playing basketball with new frens i met in school. becoz of the kind of experience i had in primary, i always thot i was still the type of player that ppl would choose after they run out of choices, but no! thanks to my so-called "secret training" in P6, i was able to handle the ball rather well among all my frens and also able to do a descent layup rather smoothly, eventhough come to think about it now, i wonder how was that ever difficult?! so suddenly i became one of the few guys in the class that could self-claim to be basketball-capable(if this even makes sense -_-ll). then later we had this inter-class basketball tournement for two years, which was organised by me, of cos, as i was in the sports department of student council. 1st year was disastrous, we were knocked out in the second round, or semi-final (which sounds nicer). i remembered everyone in the team were crying after the match coz we thot we almost had the game and blamed the referee for being in favour of the opposition, and that defeat was then concluded as highly controversial. 2nd year was less disastrous, we beat the same team we lost to in the "semi-final", with (again) a controversial victory, as they claimed that at some point in time, we had six players on the floor. we didnt care much and proceeded to the finals against the team that was comprised of half a dozen over-sized men. we were trashed pretty badly, with the other team doubling our score, 20 to 10, but still, we couldnt care less, which i cant seem to remember why? and that concluded my basketball life in china, coz later i went to singapore... April 05 where's my life?you will meet so many ppl in your life, and yet only minority of them will be rememebered, only handful will make a difference in your life, and even fewer will eventually walk into your life and change you forever... who are the ones that are important? who are the ones that are gonna juz stopby for a moment and move on? does it really take a lifetime to find out? will it always be "too late"?
life's been pretty empty lately, covered up under all those hanging-out and work. still, ppl hav their own lives: games, girlfren boyfren, work... cant seem to find mine among those though. where's my life? i think i lost track of it, and ended up making all these random notes. truly stupid and wasteful of time... March 22 Attitude to life IISomething shared from facebook...
As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back. Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin... funny quotes from Garfieldfunny quotes from Garfield, got it from http://life-ends-love-does-not.spaces.live.com
Money is not everything. There’s Mastercard & Visa. One should love animals. They are so tasty. Save water. Shower with your girlfriend. Love the neighbor. But don’t get caught. Behind every successful man, there is a woman. And behind every unsuccessful man, there are two. Every man should marry. After all, happiness is not the only thing in life. The wise never marry, And when they marry they become otherwise. Success is a relative term. It brings so many relatives. Never put off the work till tomorrow what you can put off today. Love is photogenic. It needs darkness to develop. Children in backseats cause accidents. Accidents in backseats cause children. “Your future depends on your dreams.“ So go to sleep. “ There should be a better way to start a day than waking up every morning. “Hard work never killed anybody.“ But why take the risk? “Work fascinates me.“ I can look at it for hours! God made relatives; Thank God we can choose our friends. When two’s company, three’s the result! A dress is like a barbed fence. It protects the premises without restricting the view. The more you learn, the more you know, The more you know, the more you forget. The more you forget, the less you know. So why bother to learn.
