A comic that touched many lives...

1

When you were still a baby...

2

they spent a lot of time on teaching you how to use a spoon and chopsticks to eat...

3

teaching you how to put on clothes, tie up shoelaces, fasten buttons...

4

teaching you how to wash your face, comb hair...

5

teaching you how to become a better person...

6

so... ...

7

so when they become old one day...

8

when they can't remember or reply fast enough...

9

please don't blame them...

10

when they start to forget how to fasten buttons, tie shoelaces...

11

when they start to dirty their clothes while eating...

12

when their hands start shaking while combing hair..

13

please don't hurry them...

because while you are slowly growing up, they are slowly growing old...

14

whenever you appear before their eyes...

15

they will feel warm...

16

if one day, when they can barely stand or walk...

17

please grab their arms, walk slowly with them...

18

just like... ...

19

just like when they were holding your hands...

Solution to MSN virus

recently there has been a msn virus going around on the internet, the infected user will send a compressed file to all other user without knowing it himself/herself, it is often disguised as a photo, once receiver opened it, he/she gets infected and it goes on and on~ The virus comes active whenever the infected goes online.

actually it's a quite simple virus but puzzled me for days... -_-ll brain's taking days off in holidays too...anyway, here's the solution to it:

1 run "process explorer" (it's a free software and can be found easily on google)
2 spot any suspicious process that doesnt hav infor related to it on the right. usually it's a random name and easy to spot that isnt a system process
3 right click on it and choose properties. then u can see the location of the file
4 most of time it's the system32 folder, locate it. to be safe here, back it up 1st (send it to compressed folder and rename it and store it somewhere else)
5 then kill the process in process explorer and delete the file
6 go to registry and find any key tts associated to that file name (to be safe, back up is recommended) then delete them
7 restart ur computer and ure done~ check around with frens juz in case~

There is another type of MSN virus that has been going around too. It's able to send spam message even while you are offline. The only solution is to change your password because your account has been stolen, that is why it is able to send spam remotely.

I have encountered both type of MSN virus before, but there could be other type of virus out there. If the above methods do not work, good luck... However I will try to keep up to date.

Few guidelines to follow to avoid MSN virus:

1 never click on any linkthat your friends send you without confirming with them, no matter how familiar it looks
2 never receive any files from your friends without confirming with them, no matter how tempting it is
3 never give out your MSN password on any website, it can look really real.

Let iTunes show synchronized lyrics

It's really a pity that iTunes cannot show synchronized system when almost every other music player has that function: Winamp, Kugoo, real player and TT player etc...
now there is a plug-in for iTunes that enables iTunes to download and show synchronized lyrics automatically.
Lyricist web site:   http://www.lyricist.cn/
It's really useful for music fans and ipod owners, sadly it cant enable iPod to synchronize lyrics, but it's good enough for now. one thing to note that its inbuild lyrics search engine works best for chinese songs, but it can still find lyricss of most english songs.

Removing Bonjour for Windows

mDNSResponder.exe is a software that binded with iTunes 7.6. it is made by Apple that used for video chating. ppl may hav installed it unnoticedly while updating iTunes. it loads up when windows starts and runs in the background. one more unnecessary process in the background would mean an inefficient allocation of computer resources such as CPU time, memory space, internet speed... most importantly, this kind of software that goes into our computer without noticing often has security risks, coz it may have opened a backdoor to ur system on the internet. here's a method to remove it:(original url: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb400982&sliceId=1)

Process name:mDNSResponder.exe
Service name:Bonjour Service
installed under folder C:\Program Files\Bonjour\

To remove Bonjour:

1. Open a Windows command prompt and type the following command:
“C:\Program Files\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe -remove”
2. Navigate to the following folder in Windows Explorer: C:\Program Files\Bonjour
3. Rename the mdnsNSP.dll file in that folder to mdnsNSP.old
4. Restart your computer
5. Delete the the Program Files\Bonjour folder

Note: Removing Bonjour prevents Version Cue clients (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, Bridge) From automatically discovering Version Cue Servers and Version Cue projects in your local network. You will need to connect manually using Connect to Server and the URL or IP address of the machine running Version Cue Server instead.

Keep an eye on all ur processes in task manager will prevent ur computer from unnecessary risks, but u hav to hav certain computer knowledge... -_-ll

Let's talk about basketball (part 1)

I always claim myself to be a true basketballer, and i would consider basketball the sport of my life, but iv never really mentioned any basketball stuff except for that childish basketball toy. so i decided to talk about it this time, while i can still remember.

when i was in primary, i dun really play basketball much, partly becoz soccer was more popular then, and also partly becoz those guys never include me when playing basketball as it requires much fewer players to play than playing soccer. so whenever there was a basketball match, eventhough it was really occasional, i was alws the one standing by the sideline and jealously watching them play. that lasted until 6th grade, when i discovered a bball court in a nearby factory, since there was nothing much to do, i developed this habbit that i woke up at 5 30 every morning and went to that court to play bball be4 going to school. then almost every night of weekends i would go to the court to play match with older guys and even adults. we often play into the nights so late that sometimes the scary security dogs came out even be4 we got out of the factory yard. i was kinda thinking after all that efforts i put in basketball, somebody would finally pick me to his team. however, i failed to impress anyone in school after all and they probably still think i am a bball noob now, but the good thing is i started to realize that i really like basketball...

USB harddisk "cannot be safely removed"

Sometimes people have problems when trying to remove USB mass storage devices from their computers. It's often annoying especially when you scare that directly take the USB plug out will damage your computer and harddisk. here are some solutions.

symptoms:
when click on "safely remove hardware" a window pop out saying
"the device 'Generic volume' cannot be stopped right now. try stopping the device again later"
and it still pops out no matter how many times you try.

solutions:
1. use ctrl+alt+del to bring up task manager and click on "process", end any "rundll32.exe" process and try click on remove again.
2. after finish actions on the USB harddisk, close any windows that display the information of the USB harddisk and open "my computer" and do some actions on other local harddisk, then try again.
3.if the above methods dont work, try end "explorer.exe" process and then run explorer.exe again(type "explorer" in "run" window), most of times it works.
4.the ultimate way is to restart your computer and then remove, or put computer in hibernate mode (coz it will shut down most of the ports on computer and it's faster than restart) and then take the USB plug out.

a random day

went out to renew my passport ytd, and a series of unfortunate things happened to me. First off, i got off the bus at the wrong stop and had to walk for over 20 mins to meet my fren; then the place i went to doesnt renew my passport coz i live in a different district; then i run out of money and had to let my fren to pay for my lunch and then we had trouble finding an empty cab... despite all that trouble i finally get my passport done, of coz with all that help from my fren when filling up the forms (embarrassed). I then rmbed that i brought my visa card along and with an ATM nearby i was back in business! Went to arcade with bunch of frens afterwards and it was really fun.

suppoesd to learn driving today but suddenly another ice age's coming so i had to stay home and kill time, damn im bored.
