If your iTunes and your storm codec conflict (or other codec for that matter), and reinstalling both or deleting codec pack doesnt help, here's what-to-do:

 

1 Delete these two files "quicktime" and "quicktimeVR" in your C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder

2 Back up your iTunes library and delete both storm codec and iTunes (including quicktime) completely

3 Reinstall the codec pack

4 Reinstall iTunes

there is a quicker way that works on my computer: follow step 1 and then install the latest iTunes version.

 

This is not a big problem but it's very annoying if one happen to have codec pack installed and own an iPod at the same time. Good luck.

 

ps: now this new method from some pro is guaranteed to work but quite tedious...

 

1. uninstall both quicktime & itunes

2. then do a search for both and deleat what your search finds

3. then after everything is deleated & uninstalled

4. do a disk cleanup / then a defrag / then reboot / then search again for both if you find more deleat it then defrag again

5. then install quicktime / then update it / then install itunes / then update it
